Burgaloo

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1-1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 medium bell pepper
  • 1-1/2 c ups sliced okra
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 1 qt. canned tomatoes
  • garlic powder to taste
  • salt & pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Brown ground beef; drain. Coarsely chop onion and pepper. Add all vegetables and tomatoes to beef. Stir in seasonings. Cover and simmer for about an hour. May need to add water if becomes too thick. Should be a little soupy. (Add chili powder if desired)
  2. Serve on corn bread or rice.
