INGREDIENTS:
- 4 oz. uncooked egg noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef (or chuck)
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. chopped celery
- 1 can (8-oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup creamed cottage cheese
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup diary sour cream
- 1 medium tomato
DIRECTIONS:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook noodles according to pkg. directions; drain.
- In a large skillet, cook and stir meat, onion and celery until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain fat; stir in tomato sauce and salt. Heat to bowling; reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream and noodles.
- Pour into an ungreased 1-1/2 qt. casserole dish. Slice tomato; arrange on top. Cover; bake 30 minutes.
